2023 Ocean Alexander 32 Explorer

Her mechanical systems have received significant attention, including complete M1, M2, M3, and M4 MAN engine service, generator service with a new exhaust elbow, new generator batteries, a new hot water tank, new Aquamet 22 shafts, new rudder shaft seals, and a PHIBER fresh-water shaft flush system. The propellers have been checked and balanced to S-Class specifications, while the davit has been fully serviced with all-new hydraulic lines. The swim platform wings have also received new stainless-steel locking pins and seals.

The exterior presents beautifully following a professional four-step Starke buff, polish, and wax of the hull and topsides, along with fresh bottom paint and Prop Speed. New Sunbrella exterior cushions and covers further enhance the yacht’s outdoor living spaces. Teak has been professionally sanded and caulking repairs completed, while the anchors and anchor pockets have been machined and polished.

Comfort and usability have also been upgraded throughout. A new crew AC unit has been installed, with upgraded BTU capacity for the crew-room AC units, and all carpets have been professionally cleaned. PPF has been applied to the interior countertops and exterior coffee table to help protect these high-use surfaces.

Modern equipment and cosmetic enhancements include a FLIR M364C thermal imaging camera, RGB lighting for the yacht lettering and nameboards, and new custom tender whips for both port and starboard. The Headhunter HMX system was also serviced.

With extensive recent mechanical work, upgraded systems, refreshed exterior finishes, and numerous thoughtful improvements throughout, this yacht has clearly benefited from attentive ownership and substantial investment. She is exceptionally well equipped, beautifully presented, and ready to cruise.

Construction

• The Yacht is constructed in high-density closed-cell structural foam. High density foam allows for high temperature and advantages in thermal and acoustic insulation.
• Longitudinal and lateral fiberglass foam-core stringers.
• Cross-knit carbon fiber in high stress areas to increase structural integrity and torsinal strength.
• Water-tight bulkheads with sound proofing for engine room.
• Ocean Alexander employs various techniques to reduce sound and vibration. Some of these techniques include multiple insulation barriers including reflective materials, absorptive materials, dampening materials, air pockets and flexible isolation mounts for controlling sound and noise tramsmission.
• Painted exterior surfaces with professional grade epoxy-based primers and Alexseal ployurethane paint.

Main Engines

• Delta T intake/exhaust fans with variable frequency drives mounted to facilitate the intake and/or exhaustion of air through the machinery spaces and providing a high air exchange rate. Air intake & exhaust ducts have fire dampers installed with manual and automatic triggering tied into the machinery shut down circuits.
• Delta T moisture eliminators installed at front of intake and exhaust ducts.
