Tayana sailboats have a particularly strong reputation as an offshore boat and is certainly one of the more popular bluewater cruisers ever built.
Prior to the passing of this highly skilled sailor/owner the word was he was preparing this Tayana 37 for a bluewater passage. The start of this preparation must have been the addition of the windvane self steering, solar panels, and recent AGM 4D batteries.
- Deck hatches and portlights need to be re-bedded.
- All soft goods need replacing and/or cleaned.
- It appears tankage has been added but cannot verify
- Depth, VHF, and stand alone AIS Transponder all working
- Chart plotter and Radar not working
- Sails all appear to be in very good condition
- Still trying to verify what is working and what is not.
