Boat History

Tayana Yachts, built by TA Yang Yacht Builders was founded in 1973, having built over 1400 blue water cruising yachts to date.  This world renowned custom yacht builder offers a large complement of sailboats.  Tayana Yachts have been considered the leader in building custom interiors for the last two decades, offering its clients the luxury of a living arrangement they prefer rather than have to settle for the compromise of a production boat.

Sandpiper was stored inside a warehouse from 2008 to 2018 when she was purchased at Rouses Point, New York near the Canadian border.  She sailed down Lake Champlain to the Champlain Canal system and onto the New York canal system.  She sailed down the Hudson River past New York City and offshore in the Atlantic to New Jersey.  She was on the hard for the Winter and later trucked to Clear Lake, TX.  She has been on Watergate Marina ever since.
