VIRTUAL BOAT SALES FROM PURCHASE AGREEMENT TO CLOSING...

AND YOU NEVER HAVE TO LEAVE YOUR HOME!

BUYING OR SELLING, WE CAN HELP... VIRTUALLY!!!

You may be sitting at home during these difficult times of social distancing and stay at home orders thinking “ I sure wish I had a boat that I could get out on the water and do my distancing there with friends and family!” (10 or less of course for now)
Or maybe you have a boat and are thinking “This may be a good time to sell the boat I currently own” and it really is as people are buying, we have had record sales for the month of April this year...

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS...
SELLING:

YOU ARE READY TO SELL BUT DO NOT WANT TO DO THINGS NEEDED TO PREPARE YOUR BOAT FOR SALE DURING THIS TIME, WE CAN HELP.
First, as always just give any of our brokers a call and tell them about your boat, make, model, year model, equipment and condition and we run the comps of what is currently on the market and what they have sold for over the past couple of years and share with you that info. Then we can decide on the right asking price.
Next, we will send you a listing agreement via email that is an e-sign document.
(When we find a buyer, offers and the final agreed purchase agreement will also be handled with e-sign Documents via email)
After we have the listing agreement in place, we will go visit your boat and if it is in ready to list condition, we will get Photos and Videos and get your listing up and active very quickly.
If you feel it will need some detailing, organizing, de-cluttering or removal of personal items we can make arrangements for you with our detailing service (We use Sting Rays Yacht Services) or you can use the detailing service of your choice, perhaps you already have a service you like to employ.
Here is the really good news that makes it currently possible to sell your boat without having to leave your home...
Previously when your boat sold you would have to meet with the closing agent or documentation service as your document would need to be notarized or your document would be emailed to you to print and sign but you will still need to find a notary to sign them in front of. Temporarily, Governor Abbott has allowed for video conferencing Notarization of legal Documents. You would simply FaceTime, Facebook live, Zoom or one of these type programs and sign your docs while the Closing agent/Notary watches you sign and then you mail or overnight you paperwork to them a color copy of a government issued ID, Drivers License, Passport, etc.
So, there you go! You sold your boat and never had to leave your home to make it happen!
We will handle and coordinate it all!
Should you wish to have a face to face meeting with your broker we can easily arrange that with a FaceTime or Zoom meeting.

BUYING:

How could I ever possibly BUY A BOAT without ever leaving my house?
First step is obviously contact your Broker of choice by phone or email and let us get started finding the right boat for you. Perhaps you have already found what you think is that perfect boat while spending your spare time searching on Yachtworld or other Boat listing MLS service? Even better! This is where we remind you that through the many Yacht listings sites, we are able to co-broker with all brokers nationwide... so please, if you have been working with one of our brokers, let them know what boat you found so they can make the first contact with the selling broker as that is how co-brokering works in the business of Professional Yacht Sales.
Many of our listings already have a video, if you are interested in one of our listings that does not we will arrange to do a Facebook live video walkthrough with you so you can get a very good look at the vessel. This can also apply to any boat listed with any brokerage in our area that we will be selling you through co-brokering. The Facebook live video walkthrough will then be posted on our company Facebook channel for you to review as many times as you want...

Next, now that we have found your boat it is time to make an offer and start the negotiations. This will all be handled with emailed e-sign documents including the final agreed upon purchase agreement.
Any agreed deal will be subject to your personal inspection in addition to the typical
Trial Run and Survey (Financing also if needed)
If you have not yet seen or been on board the vessel and you would like to, we will make arrangements to meet you at the boat to open it up and allow you to spend as much time looking around and checking it out on your own. (Well within the CDC Guidelines) The broker will, after opening it up, either stay on the dock or go sit in their vehicle waiting for you to finish taking your tour.
Next is the Survey and Trial Run. Let us be clear, on the virtual yacht purchase you would never need to leave your home from start to finish, however you are welcome to be present for any of the following steps.
Almost always we do the trial run and survey on the same day. The trial run following the quick haul at the yard for the out of the water inspections.
If you are going with the fully Virtual Purchase, we will be taking many photos and will also get a video of the boat while out of the water so you can see the bottom. We could also do a live Facebook feed which you can watch live and ask any questions you may have while it is out of the water, we will download the live feed as a video to Facebook page so after it is done you can go back and review as often as you like. you could also share that video with family and friends to show them your new boat and how you plan to get out of the house and on the water social distancing the FUN way!
After the haul out we will have the trial run, here again during the trial run we will Facebook live, FaceTime or Zoom Meeting with you so you can see the boat underway.
(Again, if you want to be on the trial run you are welcome but not required)
After the survey is completed the surveyor will call or FaceTime you and review his findings with you and of course then complete his report.
Hopefully, all is good and we are ready to move towards closing.  If not, we will assist in negotiating findings in the survey.
Once ready to move to closing we will put you in touch with our documentation service to start preparing the closing documents. These documents will be emailed to you for you to print and Notarize via a zoom meeting or FaceTime. (these docs require original signatures therefore cannot be e-signed) You will then overnight fully executed docs back to the documentation service and as soon as documents from you and the seller are received and the seller has funded... you OWN A BOAT! Congrats! And you never even had to leave your home...

What next? We will have the boat detailed inside and out including disinfecting the interior. Come get on your boat and Sail Away!

If you need help moving it to your new slip or want us to move it to your new slip in advance so you can take delivery there just let us know. As always, we are more than happy to help.

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT! BUY OR SELL A BOAT AND NEVER LEAVE THE FARM!
